The Role
We're hiring our first dedicated QA Engineer to formalize and own quality across the platform: SDK, mobile apps, backend services, and operational tooling.
This is a foundational role. You'll define how we test, how we catch regressions, and how we validate releases for enterprise customers — including security reviews, compliance work, and pilot deployments. You'll work with real devices, real SIMs, and real network conditions.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute test plans for the Android SDK, companion mobile apps, and backend services.
- Validate carrier-specific behavior: SIM detection, APN configuration, IMS / VoLTE / VoWiFi state, multi-SIM handling, signal and connectivity flows.
- Coordinate validation cycles for infrastructure changes — staging, pre-production, and production releases.
- Build automated regression coverage where it provides leverage; thoughtful exploratory testing where it doesn't.
- Maintain a structured bug tracking and triage workflow.
- Support security validation and penetration testing engagements with enterprise clients.
- Contribute to release readiness — define what "ready to ship" means and hold the line.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of QA experience, with at least some focus on mobile (Android) and backend APIs.
- Experience designing test plans and writing clear, reproducible bug reports.
- Comfort working with real hardware, multiple SIMs, and varied carrier scenarios.
- Strong written and verbal communication — you'll work directly with engineers, product, and clients.
- Working English (the team and our clients operate in English and Spanish).
Nice to Have
- Test automation experience (Espresso, UI Automator, Appium, Selenium or comparable).
- Background in telecom, network telemetry, IoT, or measurement products.
- Experience supporting penetration testing, security review, or compliance processes (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes / cloud deployment validation.
